Denise L'Estrange-Corbet

New Zealand fashion icon and entrepreneur Denise is co-founder and CEO of fashion brand WORLD, a company that is known today as New Zealand's most progressive fashion brand. Established with Francis Hooper in Auckland in 1989, WORLD has been responsible for a number of firsts in New Zealand fashion history.
 
WORLD was the first New Zealand fashion house to have a major retrospective exhibition of their work at the Auckland Museum in 2004, spanning 15 years and 155 outfits. Denise was also the first New Zealand woman to become a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2002 for her services to Fashion Design.
She has been made an Ambassador for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation, and works extensively with the Mental Health Foundation and the Starship Foundation on awareness and fundraising.

In addition, Denise lectures on fashion and judges many events around the country. She is also a weekly contributor in the weekend Herald's 'Canvas' magazine, is the Fashion and Beauty Commentator every Monday morning on EasyMix 98.2FM, she is the Beauty Product Writer for the monthly 'Ponsonby News' and is a published writer.
