Trans-Tasman Resources, the privately-owned ironsands explorer, has appointed former prime minister Jenny Shipley and ex-Tata Steel executive Kirby Adams to its board.

Porter Novelli was the top New Zealand PR agency at this year's PRINZ Awards jointly winning the Supreme Award and Special Event/Project category for launch of the WilliamsWarn Personal Brewery.

 The top honours were shared with Louis Brown and Daniel O'Regan for their work with the Student Army helping to clean up Christchurch after last year's earthquake.

The judges praised Porter Novelli for innovative use of social media, and generating significant outcomes for WilliamsWarn on a small budget.

Through her vision, passion, drive and energy, Wendy has built her company into one of the world's most successful educational export companies. Her educational products consist of over 1800 titles which have sold over 218 million copies worldwide.

For the past twenty years, Wendy has worked extensively with governments and education departments within the APEC region to implement new policies on curriculum development for literacy.

Wendy is a frequent speaker at both national and international conferences. She has chaired the Technology Working Group for ABAC for two years and was an ABAC member for New Zealand for 7 years. She is actively involved in community service activities, both in New Zealand and overseas.

Wendy is the only living woman to be inducted into the Business Hall of Fame in New Zealand. She is also a member of the ADVANCE 100, a group of outstanding Australians living abroad.
