Trans-Tasman Resources, the privately-owned ironsands explorer, has appointed former prime minister Jenny Shipley and ex-Tata Steel executive Kirby Adams to its board.

Porter Novelli was the top New Zealand PR agency at this year's PRINZ Awards jointly winning the Supreme Award and Special Event/Project category for launch of the WilliamsWarn Personal Brewery.

 The top honours were shared with Louis Brown and Daniel O'Regan for their work with the Student Army helping to clean up Christchurch after last year's earthquake.

The judges praised Porter Novelli for innovative use of social media, and generating significant outcomes for WilliamsWarn on a small budget.

Bridget LiddellBridget Liddell

Bridget Liddell is a Managing Principal of New York based company Fahrenheit Ventures, responsible for the commercialization of new concepts and for building brands within the US market. Clients include a number of companies seeking to enter the US market with high performing offshore brands.

She is also the Chair of the New Zealand / US Beachhead Program (a NZ Government program which offers strategic advice and mentoring to small New Zealand businesses seeking access to the US market). She was Chief Operating Officer of Fahrenheit 212 between 2003 and 2005.

Bridget has an academic background in Economics and Finance and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst qualification. She was previously Director of Research for CS First Boston NZ Ltd. She is currently a Director of the New Zealand Superannuation Fund, a US$13bn pension fund for all New Zealand citizens and, until recently, was a Director of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment.

Bridget has also held positions as a Director of New Zealand public companies, Sky City Ltd and Fisher & Paykel Appliances Holdings Ltd (global home appliances). Her other past governance roles include membership of the University of Auckland Council, Industry New Zealand (national economic development agency), Competitive Auckland Ltd. (regional economic development) and Auckland Uniservices Ltd (technology transfer).

She has also held a variety of management positions including CEO of Carter Holt Harvey Plastic Products and CEO of University of Auckland Development.
