| Porter Novelli was the top New Zealand PR agency at this year's PRINZ Awards jointly winning the Supreme Award and Special Event/Project category for launch of the WilliamsWarn Personal Brewery.
The top honours were shared with Louis Brown and Daniel O'Regan for their work with the Student Army helping to clean up Christchurch after last year's earthquake. | Dame Shipley calls for more Honours |

New Zealand's first female prime minister has called on National Party colleagues to award more gongs to women. Dame Jenny Shipley spoke out after just two women were made dames in the Queen's Birthday honours while five men were knighted. "We have a gap and I think we have to do something about it, because I don't accept women do less in the community than men," said Dame Jenny, prime minister from 1997 until 1999. Women were holding back and must nominate each other for honours. Two women were made companions of the New Zealand Order of Merit, alongside 13 men. Prime Minister John Key dismissed the call, saying recipients had to be worthy. He was trying to strike the right balance and the honours list was "not a boys' club". sourced from Stuff. |
