Trans-Tasman Resources, the privately-owned ironsands explorer, has appointed former prime minister Jenny Shipley and ex-Tata Steel executive Kirby Adams to its board.

Porter Novelli was the top New Zealand PR agency at this year's PRINZ Awards jointly winning the Supreme Award and Special Event/Project category for launch of the WilliamsWarn Personal Brewery.

 The top honours were shared with Louis Brown and Daniel O'Regan for their work with the Student Army helping to clean up Christchurch after last year's earthquake.

The judges praised Porter Novelli for innovative use of social media, and generating significant outcomes for WilliamsWarn on a small budget.

Wendy Pye receives TIAW Award

The International Alliance for Women Awards 2011 - in recognition of women whose efforts have advanced the economic empowerment of women locally, regionally or worldwide.

Each year, The International Alliance for Women (TIAW) recognizes up to 100 extraordinary women from around the world who have contributed to the economic empowerment of women with the TIAW World of Difference 100 Awards. This year we added young women, men and corporations to the list of those who have contributed to the economic empowerment of women.

Wendy Pye was nominated for this award under the Education category and we are delighted to advise was selected as a 2011 TIAW World of Difference 100 Award recipient!
