CONNECTED, EFFECTIVE AND GLOBALLY RELEVANT
As Global women at a personal, executive, director and entrepreneurial level, we are seeking to become more effectively connected! It helps socially but increasingly it has the potential to invigorate our commercial lives as we reach out in a globalised world to understand markets, customers, and clients in a connected and relevant way.
The 2012 Global Women's Retreat in Nelson will seek to inspire, inform, invigorate and electrify us into action in terms or improving our skills and insights, into these dynamic areas, and also
provide opportunities and examples of how we can plan to be more effective in the 2012 - 2013 year. In doing so we will have an outstanding global woman leader Claudia Batten, who has achieved enormous success personally in this new connected space. She will share her insights as to where the megatrends are going next, what we need to understand in order to enhance our own success, and what to remain aware of on the horizon.
We’ll through Vicky, Jenny and Peter Chrisp explore the new government’s strategies for the emerging markets, in particular
India and China and consider whether through Global Women we can undertake delegations that will allow us to grow personally through our activity and insight, but also to connect globally with key companies or influences who may be relevant to us in the future by participating in a well crafted delegation in the second half of 2012.
Finally in undertaking these expansive topics, we will also focus on good governance and the important trends in Australasia as we seek to improve the leadership, the commercial
effectiveness and the expansion of capital markets in an extremely demanding global setting. We have Lynn Wood a leading ASX woman director who will share with us the trends of not only compliance, but growth, and also to allow us to plan effectively together what each of us needs to do individually, but also what we would wish to do collectively as the Global Women’s group to try and improve the numbers and the quality of women directors here in New Zealand and on the ASX where relevant.
