Trans-Tasman Resources, the privately-owned ironsands explorer, has appointed former prime minister Jenny Shipley and ex-Tata Steel executive Kirby Adams to its board.

Porter Novelli was the top New Zealand PR agency at this year's PRINZ Awards jointly winning the Supreme Award and Special Event/Project category for launch of the WilliamsWarn Personal Brewery.

 The top honours were shared with Louis Brown and Daniel O'Regan for their work with the Student Army helping to clean up Christchurch after last year's earthquake.

The judges praised Porter Novelli for innovative use of social media, and generating significant outcomes for WilliamsWarn on a small budget.

Who Would This Programme Suit?

We have identified the criteria for the ideal candidate as:

1. She works for an organisation that actively supports the attraction, development and retention of women to the highest levels; this is to ensure that the breakthrough leader is backed and has a good chance of progressing in her organisation

2. She sits no more than two levels below CEO in a very large organisation or sits in the senior leadership team of a large organisation

3. She is a high calibre performer, recognised both by her organisation and externally as a high-potential individual and role model

4. She is strongly motivated to move to the next level of management or governance

5. She can demonstrate that she actively gives back to other women or to the community, e.g. by mentoring younger women

6. She is able to challenge peers confidently, yet also empathises with and supports them

7. She is intellectually curious.

Selection Process

Candidate selection will be by formal interview, conducted by a member of the Global Women Women in Leadership Advisory Committee and the Programme Director.
