Chris was appointed as CEO of Foodstuffs North Island Ltd on the 11 May 2015 and joined the business on the 7 September 2015. Chris has enjoyed getting immersed in the unique world of grocery and working with the Foodstuffs team and its 350 store owners to create a fantastic supermarket experience for Kiwi shoppers.

Prior to joining Foodstuffs Chris was CEO of Spark Home, Mobile and Business in October 2012 and led the business through the very successful rebrand from Telecom to Spark in 2014.  He had accountability for the performance of the company’s consumer and SME markets, which deliver around half of Spark’s revenue and earnings.

The Home, Mobile and Business team had staff throughout New Zealand in Spark offices, stores and call centres, as well as partners in Manila.

Chris was a member of the Spark Leadership team from 2008. During 2012, he spent three months at Acting CEO of Spark Group and from 2008-2012 was CEO of the then Gen-i Australasia (now Spark Digital).

Chris is Chairman of business incubator, The ICEHOUSE and an active participant in the ICT industry.

In July 2010, Chris was the recipient of an Emerging Leader Award at the annual Sir Peter Blake Leadership Awards, in recognition of his leadership achievements and contribution to the community. He also received the Chairman’s Award at the 2010 TUANZ Innovation Awards.
