Jenni Prisk

Founder, Prisk Communication

Jenni Prisk founded Prisk Communication in 1990 in San Diego, California, to provide exemplary public speaking and communication skills. She has coached hundreds of individuals and corporate teams in the United States and internationally. Jenni is a dynamic motivational speaker.

Jenni was born and raised in New Zealand. She has a Diploma in Adult Teaching and qualified as a Human Relations and Communications Instructor for the New Zealand Marriage Guidance Council. She has a Diploma in Speech & Drama from Trinity College, London, England. In 1983 Jenni and her husband moved to San Diego, where he became a research scientist with NASA.

For six years she was a faculty professor at the University of San Diego in the Nonprofit Management and Leadership Program. In collaboration with PRIDE Inc. San Diego, she developed and led a recurring course in public speaking for developmentally disabled adults.

Jenni chaired the San Diego County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls from 20152017. From 2016 to 2018 she was the President of the Association of California Commissions on the Status of Women (ACCW). For several years, she was a member of the Advisory Committee for the Women Peacemakers’ Program at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice at USD. For two years, Jenni was an Ambassador for the United State of Women (USOW.) She is a member of Global Women New Zealand.

In 2001, Jenni founded Voices of Women (VOW), a nonprofit organization with the mission to support and promote local and global educational programs that uplift and empower women and children. VOW presented 80+ educational events and raised funds for global nonprofit organizations including the Daraja Academy for Girls in Kenya, for which Jenni developed and taught a Business Development course. Jenni is the founder and host of iVOW, a Podcast Program featuring voices of global women. www.voicesofwomen.org While in New Zealand during COVID, she conceived an initiative to uplift wahine (female) Maori leaders in Northland. She teaches public speaking and leadership skills to young mothers at Hiwa-i-te-Rangi, a division of NorthTec. She is a founding member of the Rainbow Rangatahi committee, based in Northland.

Jenni is a member of the San Diego Rotary Club where she founded the Peace Committee. She is a Steering Committee member of the San Diego Workplace Equity Initiative founded to develop a code of conduct for the workplace, including pay equity. Jenni has delivered TEDx and SUE Talks (available on YouTube.) She has emceed TEDx programs. Jenni anchored (live) KPBS-TV and Radio fundraisers in San Diego, and has interviewed numerous guests: Dr. Ken Blanchard, Sarah Brightman, Paul Anka, John Tesh, Patti LuPone, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Dr. Andrew Weil (and more.)
