Victoria Carter LL.B is an Accredited Fellow of the Institute of Directors. A former high profile Auckland City Councillor, Victoria has had over 20 years governance experience in a range of tourism, entertainment, retail/education businesses.
Victoria has 25 + years in communications, media, marketing , profile raising, social media and crisis management. She has strong networks across many fields, media, government, local government, and business.
She brings a youthful attitude to the Board table as well as strong governance experience across a broad range of business activities. In 2013 Victoria made the inaugural “Forty women to watch over 40” list, one of only three outside of the USA. The list celebrates women who are re-inventing, disrupting, making an impact.
Chair of Auckland’s Arts Festival, she is Deputy Chair of NZ Thoroughbred Racing, and a director of Tax Management NZ, NZ’s first tax pooling company. She was a Director of Turner’s Auctions, tourism company JUCY Group and Kidicorp, NZ’s largest private early childhood provider, to whom she provides strategic marketing advice. She co-founded and leads Cityhop, NZ’s only car share company offering cars by the hour.
