A report released this week puts two New Zealand companies in its 2018 ranking of the top 200 firms globally for gender equality.
The list is based on 19 criteria and only lists companies with a market capitalisation of more than USD 2 billion.
Equileap, the company that produced the report, provides data and insights on gender equality in the corporate sector.
Power companies Meridian Energy and Mercury were the two NZ companies that made it onto the global top 200 ranking.
Global Women Support Partner Air New Zealand is on a separate list of 27 countries with no overall pay gap, along with Meridian Energy.
The report shows that New Zealand has travelled some way but has further to go, with a quarter of its eligible companies making the Top 200.
